Visit the Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History (PATCH) portal.
Click "Submit a New Record Check" and select "Volunteer" as the reason — this makes the check free of charge.
Fill in your personal information exactly as it appears on your government-issued ID.
Submit the request. Results are typically available immediately for most individuals.
Download or print the results as a PDF, then upload it below.

Your background check is stored securely and only accessible to BVFD board members during the review process.

How to Obtain Your PA Child Abuse History Clearance

Visit the PA Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) portal.
Create an individual account if you don't already have one (you'll need to verify your email).
Once logged in, select "Create Clearance Application" and choose "Volunteer" as the purpose — this makes the clearance free of charge.
Fill in your personal details and submit the application.
Results are typically available within a few minutes to 24 hours. You'll receive an email when ready.
Download the clearance letter as a PDF, then upload it below.

This clearance is required by Pennsylvania law for all volunteers who work with children or vulnerable populations.
